The church is going to have to become the conscience of the free market.

- Bono

In response to this challenge, Nathan George wrote after Celebration of Hope 2008: “Nearly 43% of Americans regularly attend church, creating a constituency of almost 130 million people. Imagine what could happen if 130 million Christians embraced fair trade as a means of bringing good news to the poor and meaning to the rich? What if we began to see our spending, not just our giving, as a matter of discipleship?”

Trade as One exists to help churches to engage in fair trade, educating and enabling your people to fight poverty with their regular purchasing. Here’s what we did together with Willow Creek:

Churches all over the country are engaging with us to help their people to redeem their spending. If you’d like to learn more about how your church can get involved, fill out the simple form to your right. We’ll get in touch with you shortly about the specifics of how we can work together. Thanks for your passion, and your desire to lead where you are.
