At Green Sahara Gifts, we don’t want to offer the world more stuff. We want to offer a story: the hope of a fair and regular paycheck, trees being planted for young Moroccans to enjoy when they grow up, and cultural bridges being built for Moroccan artisans to show their skill in many homes and workplaces in the West.

At Green Sahara Gifts, we have unique and handcrafted products with a great story of sustainability.

Unique – At Green Sahara Gifts, our unique products are great as gifts and as keepers.  With a mix of traditional Moroccan motifs and modern influences, our products are well-designed, Moroccan-made and with a great story – you won’t find this mix anywhere else.

Handcrafted – Moroccan artisans carefully handcraft each item at Green Sahara Gifts.  Hand-picked lumber, hand-carved products, hand-rubbed finishes and a fair wage for our employees and the artisans we work with in Morocco – it’s all part of what makes Green Sahara Gifts uniquely and sustainably Moroccan-made.  We also commit to hiring people that have difficulty gaining employment, including the disabled and the poor.

Sustainable – At Green Sahara Gifts, we strive to use sustainably harvested wood in our products.  We commit to limiting wood waste by using parts of the tree that are often unused, and to using offcuts and reclaimed materials whenever possible.  We’re also partnering with the High Atlas Foundation to plant trees in the Atlas mountain regions of Morocco – we’re looking forward to seeing more green in the Moroccan mountains and moving on into the Sahara.  Also, we use a unique formula of hand-rubbed Moroccan olive oil and beeswax on many of our products.
