Fair Trade Decorative Walnut Shelf - Marrakech Carving

This decorative walnut shelf is handcrafted in the traditional style of Marakesh, Morocco. Ideal for attractively displaying pictures and decorative items. It's outfitted for easy installation (fittings included), and adds unique beauty to any wall. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate the time and effort that has gone into not only the construction of the ledge itself, but into the handcarved symbols of Marakesh. It's sure to inspire questions and comments, giving you a great opportunity to tell its story.

Faceplate has 3 handcarved "Marrakechi" Berber designs on it. Piece attaches to wall by screwing on mounting plate and then pressing the faceplate on (easy tension fit). Mounting plate is 2 1/8" wide to display pictures and other items and total distance from wall with faceplate attached is 2 ¾". Includes hardware.

Finish: Non-toxic waterborne lacquer

Easy to install and all fitments provided:

1. Place small level on mounting plate or eyeball location on wall

2. With one hand hold mounting plate (with level resting on top) against wall

3. With other hand take a screw and pierce the hole locations on the wall

4. Remove mounting plate, drill holes in drywall and pound in drywall anchors

5. Screw on mounting plate until plate is snug against wall

6. Press back of carved face onto mounting plate biscuits - make sure it is centered

7. Carved face should nest snugly on biscuits - it may need to be tapped on with bottom of fist if tight

8. A tiny dab of elmers glue may be needed on one or both biscuits if carved face fits slightly loose
