PLEASE NOTE: each bag is totally unique, so colors of the embroidered panels will vary from the photograph shown. The bags are predominantly teal.
These newspaper bags are made from recycled embroidered blouses called 'huipiles' which provide the rich floral motifs. Two bags can be made per blouse which explains why each bag is truly individual and never to be repeated. The recycled fabric on the back of the bag is 'corte' fabric used for skirts. Corte is handwashed against rocks and is therefore a very soft and durable fabric.
