I recently sat side-by-side with one of the women in the Philippines who makes this particular card. She gave me a few of the white flowers to cut out. It was hard! It's hard getting rather poor scissors down into those fine areas. We bought some $1 (nice) new scissors to add to their tools and make their job a bit easier. Spending $1 on scissors would be the equivalent of half a day's pay for us. Each batik flower looks a bit different; all are beautiful. This is one of my favorites of the cards these women create. You are doing much good in the lives of the women coming out of prostitution by purchasing their cards and creating a strong demand for their products.
